Is Rice Lake Arts still a sculpture gallery?

No we are no longer a gallery. However, several of the largest pieces from the ZimArt collection remain on the grounds of Rice Lake Arts and are for sale. Wayne Gallimore of Zimsculpture will be pleased to take your inquires regarding these pieces. As well, Wayne has a large collection of Zimbabwean sculpture that will be displayed at Wild Lot Farm Distillery 1990 Fry Rd, Picton, Prince Edward County. The Grand Opening of this exhibition of outstanding sculptural works takes place May 12th, runs until Oct 13th, 2024. We are thrilled that Wayne will continue to represent many of the outstanding Zimbawean artists whose work we’ve enjoyed at ZimArt. You can reach him at wayne@zimsculpture.ca

 

Is Rice Lake Arts open daily?

Rice Lake Arts is not open daily. We are open whenever we have a workshop running, an event or concert scheduled. There is a sign at the entrance to the property that will indicate whether we are open or closed. If you would like to visit at at time we are not open, please message us at 647-985-4352 or email info@ricelakearts.ca and we will do our best to accommodate your visit.

Is Rice Lake Arts available for event rental?

Rice Lake Arts is available for small scale events, wedding ceremonies/photographs or retreats. Please email info@ricelakearts.ca with rental inquiries.

Is there accommodation on the property at Rice Lake Arts?

The Red House at Rice Lake can be rented to workshop participants and their friends/family members. The house has 3 bedrooms (maximum 2 guests/room) that can be booked individually or together. For information about rates and availability, please email info@ricelakearts.ca or call

Are dogs allowed to visit Rice Lake Arts?

Yes, dogs are welcome if they are leashed and friendly. Please make sure to dispose of any doggy waste in a responsible manner – we ask you take it with you when you leave. Thank you!

What is Rice Lake Arts Workshop cancellation policy?

Workshop fees are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another workshop participant. Should we have to cancel a workshop for any reason, we will refund your fee in full or you can choose to take a credit. Please note: Workshops will run rain or shine–we have sheltered areas and indoor spaces. A weather related cancellation will only occur in the case of a serious storm or weather event.

Where is Rice Lake Arts located?

Rice Lake Arts is located at 855 Second Line Road, Bailieboro, ON K0L 1B0 We are 15 minutes South of Peterborough and 25 mins North of Port Hope, a few kms East of the village of Bailieboro. We are 16kms from the town of Millbrook.

The road into Rice Lake Arts is shared and we ask that when arriving you drive slowly (max 15kms). Our neighbours and the animals living on that farm will appreciate your consideration. You will know you have arrived at Rice Lake Arts when you see three large stone sculptures on your left as you drive in. We look forward to your visit!
